I'm Aiden, a designer with a mission to help people live more engaged, meaningful lives. I believe that the products, services, and media we consume should enhance our long-term well-being, but these days it's all too common for them to be pipelines of instant gratification devoid of substance. On the consumer side, it takes the focus of a shaolin monk, willpower of an athlete, and a boundless, untamed existential fury to wade through the endless sea of content to find that which will truly enrich one's life. Even the best of us could use help on a daily basis. A well-designed, mission-driven product has the psychological power to deeply influence our life outcomes for the better, and this is where I aim to make an impact.
I approach design and business strategically, a mindset shaped by my studies at the USC Marshall School of Business. It was there that I was introduced to the Creating Shared Value framework, an approach I continue to advocate for today. Companies don’t have to choose between impact and success; with the right approach, they go hand in hand. Developing business practices that actively address societal challenges shouldn’t be a mere side quest when it can be a primary source of sustainable competitive advantage.
